HAWK WING HOUSE
PORTOLA VALLEY
The architecture of this unique home was inspired by the wing spread of Portola Valley’s soaring red tail hawks. Swooping curves with geometric mass can be found throughout the home. Our clients acquired the home because of the spacious views to the western skyline. Without the common grid-style room alignment, space planning was challenging. Expansive windows with views of hills and oak trees brought the outdoors inside. As light traveled through the home during the day it became very intense, so our first goal was providing control with motorized shades. Interior lighting was designed to showcase the clients’ stunning art collection.
